Funky stuff. Stutted.

SO, it's Friday night and I'm writing my blog. I should be disco-dancing and strutting my funky stuff. But I'm not.

I got back home, after a stressful day editing the early evening news. Technical problems meant we were putting out stories within 15 seconds of them arriving to us in the galllery. Normally, we record the 5pm programme after it's gone out once and repeat it at 5.30pm, 6pm and 6.30pm. Tonight we were still live at 6.25.

Only the 6.30 show was a repeat.

That's all to change from next week, when we do a full two hours of rolling news from 5 till 7. I shall, however, be on holiday.

Meanwhile, it's been about a month since I've blogged. Shame on me. I would like to offer my bottom for a good spanking from all my loyal readers. But it's not that sort of blog and I think the Guardian Media Group might disapprove if I did.

Anyway, I got back home and sat down to watch Coronation Street. Yes, I enjoy Corrie. Yes, I watch channels other than M. Even if the small print in my contract says I must watch nothing else.

Any old how, it wasn't on. It was rugby. Ugh!

So I have downloaded a few of my recent columns on here and written this. Every cloud and all that.
