Three days on from Tony Wilson's death, and it's still dominating the news.
There's not doubt that my record collection would have been very different without him. I've had Joy Division's She's Lost Control in my head all day.
Kevin Duffy's been covering the story today.
Elsewhere, it's been another heavy weekend for crime. And, as an antidote to that sort of thing, David Henry's gone to Moss Side and found out that life's pretty normal for most people there.
A few weeks ago, we reported how the Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive had tried to con us. In its literature promoting the congestion charge plan, it had pictures of people it said would benefit. One of them, you might remember, was a "Terry from Rochdale". He turned out to be a model called Erich and he lived in Seattle.
Now, the Rochdale Development Agency's been at it. It's produced an ad boasting about how marvellous the town is. http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/s/1013/1013365_weve_been_ad.html
The trouble is some of the images are not from Rochdale. And, of course, residents there spotted the fact. So the agency looks foolish. Hardly instills confidence if the development agency cannot come up with images of the town it's meant to be promoting, does it?
The agency's wittering on about it using "stock pictures" and says it's "normal practice".
So it's normal practice to mislead and be rude, is it?
It must be judging from this comment in the Manchester Evening News: "Anyone with half a brain would understand that they are there to illustrate people's aspirations."
