Dramatic news

It's been a dramatic news day, with the arrest of two people on suspicion of the murder of Jessie James.
David Henry was at the inquest today and in the media scrum afterwards, interviewing Jessie's mother, Barbara Reid, and the police. We spotted him on Sky.
On our breakfast programme this morning, Blackley MP Graham Stringer called for children attending schools in areas blighted by gun crime to be searched before lessons. Ben Bland's been gauging reaction to that.
Bev Walkden's been investigating flytippers. These are not people who give cash to flies to thank them for a job well done. They're people who dump their rubbish in places they shouldn't.
If we have time (to be honest, at the time of writing, I'm not sure) we'll be looking at dog poo. It's the environmental issue that most vexes people, apparently. I could have guessed that. I know that when I edited Metro News, a dog poo story would generate more letters than anything else.
