Wednesday's programme

The police have just released details of a horrific gang rape. We should just about get an interview with a copper about it in time for the 5pm programme, so we're planning to lead with that.
Otherwise, the congestion charge proposals continue to grab the headlines. Trafford and Stockport councils (Tory and Lib Dem respectively) are carrying out their own market research into it.
I was phoned myself by the GMPTE's market researchers a few days ago. How much taxpayers' cash is being spent asking us about it, I wonder?
Last night's 5pm news had so many technical problems we had to cancel the first one and went live at 5.30pm. We are at the mercy of high technology in this industry.
