Wednesday June 13's programme

Tonight we'll be covering a Stockport Express story about people in their town who fear that a Moss Side-based housing association that's bought former council houses in the borough could lead to gangs and guns.
Georja Calvin Smith has gone to Stockport to hear from people there and then to Moss Side to see what they think of what seems to be a demonisation of their neighbourhood.
People blame the media for these sorts of perceptions about areas. Mind you, everyone blames the media for just about everything given half a chance. And it's true that Moss Side does seem to make the national media more than most areas because news editors in London have heard of it. Therefore, in their minds, that justifies the adjective "notorious".
When I've reported on Moss Side, I've always enjoyed it. People there are straightforward types who say what they think. I wonder, though, if I'd not been there on the ground quite a lot whether I'd believe some of the badlands stereotypes that we often hear.
Elsewhere, Bev Walkden's going back to Bolton to see what's happened in the aftermath of the big explosion there yesterday. Channel M had pictures from the scene in its breakfast programme. We were there before anyone else, again.
Suzanne Beeley's been out to Rochdale to hear from Jason Addy, one of the campaigners against development on a former asbestos site. The developers have launched an astonishing personal attack on him.
