Tuesday's programme

I've taken over the editorship of the 5pm bulletin and I'm going to try to post highlights of the coming programme here every day. Don't sue me if occasionally I can't!
We've got a high-tech theme running through Channel M's early evening news.
First of all, we look at congestion charging again. If that happens, it will rely on the latest technology. The draft bill, which paves the way for it, is published today.
Kevin Duffy also looks at how CCTV is affecting us - even in suburbia. Then Ben Bland investigates Wifi in schools. There have been some scare stories about it. Is it really dangerous? And, on a similar theme, a group of residents in Stockport fear the proliferation of mobile phone masts in their neighbourhood. Paul Barber's been there.
So, is it just hype and bad science or genuine concerns based on good science? I'll tell you in 50 years' time.
In news about Channel M News, Andy Crane had surgery today. He's being missed here. Clare Fallon's ably stepping into his shoes to present the 5pm show. And Matt Critchley is presenting with Heather Stott at 9pm.
Meanwhile, a number of viewers have written to our talkboard www.channelm.co.uk/talk to wish Andy well.
