Transgender Toilets
Manchester University Students Union has replaced traditional WC signs for ones that say toilets with urinals and toilets.
The Manchester Evening News broke the story last week and it was followed up around the globe.

The Union says the reason they did it was so not to offend transgender students.
Jennie Killip is the women's officer. When asked if this was political correctness gone mad, she responded by saying political correctness gone mad was a disablist term.
Jennie has emerged as quite an interesting character. I wanted to write a profile piece on her for the Evening News. However sadly she declined. Apparently the 'Union exec' has decided not to talk to the media about this matter any more. I explained I wanted to do a more general piece but she wasn't having any of it.
I spoke to her today and she claims to have received death threats since the story broke.
That's very sad. But why not defend herself by talking to the Evening News?

If you think that's mad, my old High school (Bramhall High) introduced uni-sex toilets a few years ago. At least those one's appear to still be seperate. Safe to say, the uni-sex one's were disgusting and caused a riot with the kids! I agree though, pc gone mad.

Some of the WC signs elsewhere are confusing enough without adding to it!! But that is taking political correctness too far. They should be concentrating their time, energy and money on more important matters!!
